Event Example #1:
On July 22, MWR Liberty took almost 60 junior Sailors to hike Mount Fuji. The trip included Sailors from NAF Atsugi, NAF Misawa, CFA Okinawa and CFA Yokosuka. This year's hike was the first time hiking Mt. Fuji since COVID. Because of the nature of the hike, Sailors supported each other to overcome this physical and mental challenge. This special hike not only supports unity and strength, but it also creates lasting friendships and memories. | Quote from attendee: "I'm so grateful for the chance to climb Mt. Fuji with MWR. Throughout the whole trip, I felt safe. My friends and I had a great time. Climbing Mt. Fuji is another check on my bucket list I never thought I'd be able to do!" said U.S. Navy Sailor, Charlotte Harrigan.

Program Example #2:
The Navy MWR’s Deployed Forces Support AFLOAT Recreation Program offers a lifeline for Sailors and Marines deployed at sea. Navy’s MWR Civilian AFLOAT Specialist Program is comprised of dedicated recreation specialists known as “Fun Bosses” and fitness specialists known as “Fit Bosses.” These professionals serve aboard aircraft carriers, amphibious assault ships and hospital ships. Fun and Fit Bosses work collaboratively with the RSO and RFC to provide recreational and fitness programs. Fun and Fit Bosses play a vital role in improving quality of life programs for Sailors and Marines during homeport stays, yard periods and underway deployments.
